Irv was my mentor and friend. He was a wonderful person and I am deeply indebted to his influence over my career as an artist.
I studied with Irv for several years; as his studio assistant, I also learned many aspects of the art world and he was a great teacher! My own studio has many reminders of his techniques and philosophy, along with photos and mementos, making it a warm and special place to create art. He’s never far away……
